500-hour, or advanced qualifications. This certification ensures that teachers are equipped with the knowledge, techniques, and ethical standards required to support

Prerequisites for Prenatal Yoga Teacher Registration
To register as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher with YAI, candidates must complete 65 hours of specialized training, covering:
1. General Background in Prenatal Yoga (7 Hours)
Understanding pregnancy-related pathologies and therapeutic yoga approaches
Collaboration with childbirth educators, midwives, and healthcare professionals
Identifying high-risk vs. non-high-risk pregnancies
Supporting mothers through emotional, physiological, and social transitions
2. Techniques Training & Practice (20 Hours)
Safe prenatal asanas and pranayama for each trimester
Class sequencing and observation
Contraindicated poses and problem areas in pregnancy
Relaxation and stress management techniques
3. Teaching Methodology (15 Hours)
Designing a progressive prenatal yoga program

4. Anatomy & Physiology (8 Hours)
Understanding pregnancy anatomy, birth, and postpartum changes
Overview of complications such as miscarriage, premature labor, hypertension, and preeclampsia

Integrating traditional yoga philosophy into prenatal wellness
Exploring medical and holistic models of care
6. Practicum (10 Hours)
Hands-on teaching experience in prenatal yoga classes
